Si elle n\u2019est pas ma\u00eetris\u00e9e, l\u2019inflammation peut causer des dommages importants, souvent permanents, dans les zones touch\u00e9es, ce qui entra\u00eene une perte de fonction et de l\u2019incapacit\u00e9.<br \/><br \/><strong>L\u2019arthrite (des racines \u00ab arthro \u00bb, qui signifie articulation, et \u00ab itis \u00bb, qui signifie inflammation)<\/strong> peut affecter pratiquement n\u2019importe quelle partie du corps, mais elle s\u2019attaque le plus souvent aux hanches, aux genoux, \u00e0 la colonne vert\u00e9brale ou \u00e0 d\u2019autres articulations portantes.
